Time to evolve

Zoe Stallard, 3 July 202417 August 2024

Updated name, updated logo…what does this mean?

Original name ‘Fox and Lion Designs’ was born in the first lock down. Whilst at the time I loved this image and name; over time I felt really disconnected and it actually felt quite restricting.

Busy life as we all know means less time to really put thought into these kinds of things (it just wasn’t up high enough on my list of priorities). Fast forward to February 2024 and a trip away to a cabin in the woods (think minimal phone usage, no kids, time to actually take a breath and think this through) and I decided it was time to put my name on this little side hustle. Whilst “The Lion and Lion Creative” social media handle remains – I do like having that link to how this all began.

I also found using the word ‘creative’ rather than ‘designs’ in my handle helped me feel less restricted in a way and I have been inspired to try new techniques and methods and most recently thread painting (future blog post coming soon about this!)

So welcome to this little updated world of me – Zoe Stallard….Artist 🙂

Art sessions 3.0 – Still life study

22 March 20229 October 2023

For the third art sessions we chose a traditional still life, using whatever items we could find within the studio. This ended up being old vases, jugs and a gravy boat. Simple items that I could really focus in on shape and detail. We also decided to set up some…
