Giraffe commission

Zoe Stallard, 27 November 202415 December 2024

I took on this commission back in June as a painting from a photograph. 40cm x 30cm canvas painted in acrylic paint. This order did take a little longer than planned due to time constraints and thankfully my client was more than understanding.

The hardest part of this piece was definitely the sandy ground. There was so many tones and shadows to consider that it did force me to drop my paint brush and walk away a few times but we stuck with it and got there in the end. I absolutely loved painting the tree, the giraffes and the roof of the hut using techniques I was far more used too.

Overall I am very super pleased with the end result and so was my client. A great way to mark a brilliant trip.
